Kyrgyzstan ratifies agreement with Uzbekistan on air traffic services

Bishkek, Jan. 23, 2018 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic On ratification of the Agreement on delegation of responsibility for air traffic services between the governments of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, signed on October 6, 2017 in the city of Tashkent, the press service of the President's Office reported.

The law was passed by Kyrgyz Parliament on Dec. 13, 2017.

The main purpose of this Agreement is to meet the requirements of International Standards and Recommended Practices of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), as well as to carry out the Provisions of the Convention on International Civil Aviation.

Ratification of the Agreement will create conditions for legal provision of air traffic services without damage to national sovereignty, taking into account geographical conditions and the possibility of radio technical support for flights during organization of air traffic services and emergency notification on search and rescue operations.

The law enters into force in ten days after the day of its official publication.
