31 Indonesian Ambassadors Sworn In, Including PDIP Politician and Ex-Constitutional Court Judge

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated 31 Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of the Republic of Indonesia at the State Palace in Central Jakarta on Monday, March 24, 2025. These ambassadors will represent Indonesia in various strategic regions across the globe.
The inauguration took place at around 05:20 PM WIB (Western Indonesia Time). President Prabowo Subianto led the event, accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
The appointments were based on Presidential Decrees No. 25/P and 40/P of 2025 concerning the appointment of Indonesia’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors.
During the ceremony, the Head of State administered the oath to the newly appointed ambassadors.
“I swear/promise that I, upon being appointed as an extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador, will remain faithful to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will uphold all regulations to the best of my ability for the sake of my service to the nation and state,” President Prabowo declared while leading the oath-taking ceremony.
Following the oath-taking, Prabowo signed the official appointment documents for each ambassador. Among those inaugurated was PDIP politician Junimart Girsang, who was appointed as the Indonesian Ambassador to the Republic of Italy.
He will also concurrently serve as ambassador to the Republic of Malta, the Republic of San Marino, the Republic of Cyprus, as well as represent Indonesia in the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), World Food Programme (WFP), and the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT).
Also appointed was former Constitutional Court judge Manahan M. P. Sitompul, who will serve as Indonesia’s Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Several ministers from the Merah Putih Cabinet attended the inauguration, including Foreign Minister Sugiono, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Pratikno, Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Budi Gunawan, Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar, and State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, among others.
Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media at the Presidential Secretariat, Yusuf Permana, stated that the appointment of these ambassadors is part of the government's commitment to strengthening and expanding Indonesia’s diplomatic relations with friendly nations.
It also aims to enhance Indonesia’s cooperation with partner countries across various regions.

- Siti Ruhaini Dzuhayatin as Ambassador to the Republic of Uzbekistan, concurrently to the Republic of Kyrgyzstan
- Dicky Komar as Ambassador to the Republic of Lebanon
- Agus Priyono as Ambassador to the Republic of Suriname, concurrently to the Cooperative Republic of Guyana
- Andreano Erwin as Ambassador to the Republic of Serbia, concurrently to Montenegro
- Hersindaru Arwityo Ibnu Wiwoho Wahyutomo as Ambassador to the Republic of Finland, concurrently to the Republic of Estonia
- Yayan Ganda Hayat Mulyana as Ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden, concurrently to the Republic of Latvia
- Fikry Cassidy as Ambassador to Bolivarian Venezuela, concurrently to the Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and The Grenadines, and the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago
- Hendra Halim as Ambassador to the Republic of Panama, concurrently to the Republic of Honduras, Republic of Costa Rica, and Republic of Nicaragua
- Tyas Baskoro Her Witjaksono Adji as Ambassador to the Republic of Kenya, concurrently to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Federal Republic of Somalia, Republic of Uganda, United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and United Nations Human Settlement Programme (UN-HABITAT)
- Mirza Nurhidayat as Ambassador to the Republic of Namibia, concurrently to the Republic of Angola
- Ardian Wicaksono as Ambassador to the Republic of Senegal, concurrently to the Republic of Cabo Verde, Republic of Gambia, Republic of Guinea-Bissau, Republic of Mali, Republic of Ivory Coast, and Republic of Sierra Leone
- Siti Nugraha Mauludiah as Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark, concurrently to the Republic of Lithuania
