U.S. Embassy partners with local NGO to mark the 2017 World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims

The U.S. Embassy in partnership with local NGO Save The Nation Association will mark the 2017 World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (WDR) on Monday, November 20, 2017. The event will be held at Menelik II Referral Hospital where hundreds of traffic accident victims are being treated.

The event commemorates the many millions killed and injured on the world’s roads, together with their families, friends and many others who are also affected. It is also a Day on which we thank the emergency services and reflect on the tremendous burden and cost of this ongoing tragedy to families, communities and countries, and on ways to halt it.
